Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Data controller

Your Mexico Real Estate (“Your Mexico Real Estate”, “we” or “us”), based in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data under Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (the “Law”) and other applicable regulations.

Contact for any privacy matter: info@yourmexicorealestate.com · Phone / WhatsApp: +52 984 255 0015.

2. Personal data we collect

We may collect your data when you give it to us directly (website forms, WhatsApp, email, phone, social media or in person) or automatically when you browse the site:

  • Identification and contact data: name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number.
  • What you are looking for: type of transaction (buying, renting, investing, selling your property), destination, property type, approximate budget, dates and the content of your messages.
  • Browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, language and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 8).

If you decide to move forward with a real estate transaction, additional data may be required (for example, official ID, tax details or financial information). We will tell you beforehand and, where the Law requires it, ask for your express consent.

We do not collect sensitive personal data through this website.

3. Purposes of processing

Primary purposes (needed to handle your request):

  1. Answering your inquiries and providing real estate advice.
  2. Sending you information about the properties or developments you asked about or that match what you are looking for.
  3. Arranging viewings, calls or video calls.
  4. Putting you in touch with the developer, owner or agency in charge of the property you are interested in, at your request.
  5. Following up on your request and keeping an internal record of leads and clients.
  6. Protecting the website and its forms against spam, fraud and abuse.

Secondary purposes (not needed to handle your request):

  1. Sending you news, new listings, investment opportunities and blog content.
  2. Running satisfaction surveys and improving our services.

If you do not want your data used for secondary purposes, let us know at any time at info@yourmexicorealestate.com. Opting out will not affect how we handle your request.

4. Data transfers

To handle your request, we may share your data with:

  • Developers, owners and real estate agencies in charge of the properties you are interested in, to give you information, arrange viewings or follow up on a transaction.
  • Notaries, lawyers and other professionals involved in a transaction you decide to carry out.
  • Competent authorities, when required by law or court order.

These transfers are necessary to handle your request or to comply with legal obligations, so the Law does not require your consent for them. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We also rely on service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions: web hosting and email, Cloudflare (anti-spam verification on forms), Google (maps on property pages and visit statistics with Google Analytics) and WhatsApp / Meta (when you contact us that way). Some of these providers may be located outside Mexico.

5. Your ARCO rights

You have the right to Access your personal data, Rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete, Cancel it when you consider it is no longer needed for the purposes described, and Object to its processing for specific purposes.

To exercise these rights, email info@yourmexicorealestate.com with:

  1. Your name and a way to send you our reply.
  2. A copy of your official ID (or that of your legal representative, plus proof of representation).
  3. A clear description of the data and the right you want to exercise.
  4. Any document that helps us locate your data.

We will reply within 20 business days of receiving your request and, if it is granted, apply it within the following 15 business days.

6. Withdrawing consent and limiting use

You may withdraw the consent you gave us at any time, or ask us to limit the use or disclosure of your data (for example, to stop receiving communications), following the same procedure as in section 5. Withdrawal is not retroactive and, in some cases, may prevent us from continuing to handle your request.

7. Data retention

We keep your data only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes in this notice and the applicable legal obligations. After that, it is blocked and securely deleted.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly:

  • Necessary: they remember your chosen language, keep registered users signed in and protect forms against spam (Cloudflare Turnstile).
  • Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages they view and how they found us, and to measure the inquiries we receive. This information is not used to identify you personally.
  • Third-party: Google Maps on property pages and the WhatsApp button may set their own cookies, under Google’s and Meta’s privacy policies.

We do not currently use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features of the site may stop working.

9. Minors

Our services are intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

10. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized use, access or processing.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice due to legal changes or changes in our services or privacy practices. Any change will be posted on this page with its update date.

12. Authority

If you believe your right to the protection of your personal data has been violated, you may contact the competent data protection authority in Mexico.
